Mama's Mundo translates to Mom's World. It is a shipping box business that represents Puerto Rican culture by having goodies from the island shipped to you and selling Mama's Mundo merchandise.
We aim to attract the entire community and make it known that Mama's Mundo is a brand meant for all. Whether you want to explore a new culture or feel closer to Puerto Rican culture, we are here to support everyone. Our bright color palette is intended to take a different approach and make the community ask themselves, "What is Mama's Mundo?" The strips are meant to signify a path into the future. When becoming a part of the Mama's Mundo community, you are venturing off into the Puerto Rican culture.
Although we are not using traditional colors that represent the Puerto Rican culture, there was a lot of thought and meaning put behind everything we ship out in our boxes. This comes down to the letter style we used and what symbols we wanted to emphasize.
For our merchandise, we really wanted to emphasize our logo and signature strips, which are seen on our shipping boxes. We offer recipe cards in our boxes with a recipe of the month. Food is a big part of all cultures, so kitchen-related merchandise was necessary. Some of our recipes consist of a trip to the grocery store, so what better way to do that with our tote bag? Lastly, who doesn't love a good T-shirt?
These are some of the stickers included in our sticker packs. Two colors from the logo were chosen so that all the stickers were synced with each other. As you can see on most of them, different shades were chosen for the two colors.
The stickers that really emphasized the culture were the Coqui, Coffee, and Turtle stickers. A coqui is a popular frog in Puerto Rico known for their history within the Taino tribe and for the sounds they make during the night. Coffee is a welcoming gift when visiting the island, and my grandparents make the best coffee. Lastly, the turtle is a favorite, and you can find it in many souvenirs on the island.
A UI was also created for the shipping box business and above is our landing page. We promote selling Mama's Mundo merchandise, a look into our recipes if you happen to miss one, and upcoming events based in Philadelphia that involve the Puerto Rican culture.
