Qash Quality Matches
The objective was to create a matchbox brand so I created a matchbox around the theme of a casino. I wanted to bring a different feel to a matchbox and steer away from any design based around flames.
Logo
The name Qash came from the cash you'd receive at a casino. Replacing the c with a q added a nice touch and has a nice flow when pronouncing the entire name out. I also wanted to go a little more illustration based so I decided the really steer into the casino idea with a poker chip.
Packaging
For the packaging, I decided to take it further with the chips having them stacked on the front of the packaging. This added a nice difference between the logo and the chips themselves. As for the back, I wanted something simple since I wanted the majority of the attention around the front of the packaging. I found a quote by Steve Badger who was a professional poker player and World Series of Poker bracelet winner.
